Vintage Grand is in the famous Palmer Ranch neighborhood. Bertha Palmer, wife of Potter Palmer who helped develop the majority of State Street in Chicago, visited Sarasota in 1910. She created a property on Little Sarasota Bay, which today is know as Historic Spanish Point. She made this her winter home to get away from the cold of Chicago. Soon after, she improved the agriculture, added beautiful gardens and many buildings. When she passed away, she gave the property to her sons, who then in turned created Palmer Ranch. Today Palmer Ranch is one of Sarasota’s premier neighborhoods, surrounded by multi-million dollar homes, botanical gardens, a TPC championship golf course and immaculate landscaping.
